Our team consists of dedicated individuals who are kind, friendly, and caring. Our staff is here to ensure a pleasant experience during your visit to our office. Our team includes experienced and energetic people whose goal is to communicate well with our patients and provide the best care possible.

OFFICE MANAGER
Jackie Monk
Jackie joined Carmel Family Dental in 2017 and has been dedicated to creating a warm, welcoming experience for every patient ever since. She enjoys building lasting relationships with patients and helping ensure each visit is as comfortable and positive as possible.
With many years of experience in medical and dental administration, Jackie has built her career through extensive education, hands-on training, and a passion for lifelong learning. Her diverse background has equipped her with the knowledge and skills to help keep the practice running smoothly while ensuring every patient feels cared for and valued.
Outside of the office, Jackie has a deep love for the ocean and enjoys outrigger canoe paddling, training, and racing with her team. She recently earned her Ocean Therapy Certification, reflecting her belief in the ocean's ability to inspire healing, resilience, and well-being.
Family is at the heart of everything Jackie does. She loves spending time with her husband, children, and two grandchildren—a grandson and granddaughter—and her two beloved cats, Phoebe and Rambo.
HYGIENIST
Alison Kite, RDH
Alison was born and raised in the Bay Area moving to the Cental Coast in 2016. She has been in the dental field since 2007 starting her career as a dental assistant. She graduated with a BS in Health Science from San Jose State University. Then achieved her Dental Hygiene degree from Southwestern College in 2013.
She has enjoyed her time working with Dr. Simonsons’s team delivering gentle and thorough care to patients. Her passion is to help patients achieve optimal oral health. She prides herself on building a trusting relationship with patients and educating them on the connection between oral health and overall health.
Alison feels lucky to live and work in such a beautiful part of California with her husband Nick and their young daughter. She enjoys exploring the outdoors with her family. Hobbies include gardening, baking, hiking, and caring for her house plants.
REGISTERED DENTAL HYGIENIST
Lisa Lowther
My name is Lisa Lowther, and I am a Registered Dental Hygienist. I graduated from Carrington College in San Jose in 2012. The Monterey Peninsula has been my home for my entire life. My passion for dentistry was inspired by my father, who is a dentist. Before becoming a hygienist, I worked as a Registered Dental Assistant for over 20 years in both general dentistry and orthodontics.
In my free time, I enjoy cooking, baking, spending time with my family, and hanging out with my 4-pound Yorkie named Dezi. I have a son who works as a caddy at Pebble Beach. I feel very blessed to have joined the amazing team at Carmel Family Dental, and I look forward to providing the best care for my patients!
DENTAL ASSISTANT
Shay Escobedo, RDA
Shay, A California native, moved to the Monterey peninsula in 2018 while her husband was serving in the U.S Navy. She joined Carmel Family Dental that same year and has been an assistant since 2017. Shay loves to explore our beautiful coast and go hiking with her 2 dogs, a Newfoundland and yellow lab. She is currently attending Monterey Peninsula College, where she is completing her Pre-Dental Hygiene accreditation. She hopes to attend Cabrillo College for Dental Hygiene or Arthur Dugoni school of Dentistry in San Francisco to become an extended functions dental assistant.

Anna Snare
Anna moved to the Monterey Peninsula from Colorado a decade ago and has embraced her new home ever since. In 2024, she proudly graduated from the dental assisting program at MPC. Known for her positive attitude and dedication, Anna is a valued team player who goes above and beyond making sure patients feel comfortable and at ease when receiving care. Outside of her professional life, Anna has a diverse set of passions including weightlifting, photography, exploring new cuisines, traveling and hiking. Despite her adventurous spirit, she’s also a homebody at heart, enjoying cozy days with her five beloved cats named Nala, Mia, Lily, Willy and Knuckles.

Nataly Granados
Nataly was born and raised in Monterey. She has been a registered dental assistant for nine years, gaining experience in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, and oral surgery. Nataly takes pride in helping patients feel comfortable and confident in their oral health journeys. She has recently applied to dental hygiene school and is currently waiting to hear back. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, trying new foods, and exploring new restaurants.

Andrea Rea
A third-generation Carmel, California native. Andrea brings more than 30 years of experience in hospitality and medical front office administration to the practice. As one of the newest members of the team, she is dedicated to creating a warm, welcoming environment and helping every patient feel comfortable from the moment they arrive. Outside of the office, Andrea enjoys hiking among the beautiful redwoods of Northern California, exploring local farmers markets, cooking, reading, and spending time with her two adult daughters and extended family in South Lake Tahoe. She is also passionate about giving back to the community through volunteering with individuals with special needs.
Andrea is excited to be part of the team and looks forward to getting to know patients while helping make each visit a positive and comfortable experience.
FRONT OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR
Eve Diaz
Eve is a Monterey Peninsula native; she is ecstatic to call the Central Coast home and enjoys being an active part of the local community. She is the proud mother of two children, who are at the heart of everything she does.
Outside of work, she has a passion for lifelong learning and cultural experiences. She enjoys visiting museums, watching documentaries, exploring new cuisines through food tours, and salsa dancing. She also values giving back to her community and volunteers regularly at her church, where she enjoys serving alongside others and making a positive impact. Her curiosity, compassion, and enthusiasm for connecting with people are reflected in both her personal life and professional relationships.
